The brand as curator, not sponsor

VK Kvartirnik · with TABI

A studio shot under a Russian section label: four young men standing arm in arm and laughing in pink and blue light against a blue backdrop, with a full-width Russian headline across the frame

In a cultural setting a brand almost always looks like a guest with a budget. The more that goes into the decor, the plainer it is that the stage is not its own.

From sponsor of the party to curator — one who gives the space over to the authors and gathers a new set of residents for every edition.

The format is built as a “total installation”: the space is divided into rooms, each given over entirely to one resident. The organisers set only the frame; the author sets the content. The concept repeats: a new venue, a new set of residents, the same principle.

  • Build the format around specific people as curators, not around a theme or the decor
  • Give the artists real creative freedom over the space
  • Design the format as a repeatable IP platform for the brand, not a one-off event
  • Work with names from the scene that are not yet mainstream

Our role: the format, the curatorial mechanics, the concept of the space.
